Committee

HLAC Mission

This committee recognizes and acknowledges the various cultures and backgrounds of people who comprise Hispanic/Latino identity.  Our purpose is to serve in an advisory capacity to the National CASA Association in order to ensure that the organization is aware of the needs and interests of Hispanic/Latino children and families in the juvenile court system. In addition, it is our purpose to serve in an advisory capacity to assist National CASA Association in developing strategies to encourage, educate and involve more Hispanic/Latino organizations, groups and individuals so that they are able to participate in advocacy efforts for abused and neglected children by serving as volunteers, staff, board members, foster/adoptive parents or in other capacities.

HLAC Vision

Hispanic/Latino Children will have strong and culturally sensitive advocates who will speak out on their behalf.
