2002-2003 AAAC Strategic Plan Emphasis Areas and Key Objectives:

The following are the strategic emphasis areas and key objectives developed by the African American Advisory Committee.

1.  Public Awareness

• Raise Awareness of CASA/GAL
• Establish CASA/GAL as a community volunteer program of choice

2.  Recruitment

• Increase African American staff and volunteers representation at the National, state and local levels
• Fund Diversity Initiative

3.  Education/Training

• Develop and sustain cultural sensitivity

4. CASA/GAL Infrastructure

• Ensure the recruitment and retention of African American participation throughout the CASA/GAL network
