High-speed internet access (i.e. DSL, cable modem) is necessary to use the Upload Site.

Instructions:

1. Use Winzip to 'Zip' the files to reduce file size and reduce transmission time.

2. To download a FREE Evaluation Version of Winzip point your web browser to http://www.winzip.com
(Not necessary for Windows XP users, Win XP has a built in 'ZIP' utility.)

3. Install the FREE evaluation Version of Winzip according to the instructions (if needed).

4. Prepare your completed files for submission:

  • Prepare the files by opening Winzip in the classic interface.
  • Open the folder where you stored your completed files.
  • Situate windows on screen so you can see both of them.
  • Highlight all the Self Assessment Instrument docs by holding the Ctrl button and clicking on each file until all are selected.
  • Release the Ctrl button.
  • Click on the selected files and drag them to the WinZip window.
  • WinZip will prompt you to select a file location, and name your new zip file.

IMPORTANT! Name it with your 4 to 6 digit NCASA Program ID, plus the letters ‘SA’ for your self assessment docs, and the letters ‘IC’ for your indicators of compliance documents. (See fig. 1 below)

• Repeat this process and ZIP your ‘Indicators of Compliance’ into a single ZIP file.

• Close the ‘Add’ window, and close the WinZip program.

• Point your web browser to: https://files.nationalcasa.org

• When prompted provide the user name and password you received in your letter from National CASA.

• You’ll be directed to this page:

• Click on the ‘Browse’ button, select your zip file of your Self Assessment Instrument documents, click the ‘Open’ button

• Click the ‘Upload’ button (only once) and the file will be transferred. Please be patient. These files are rather large and will take just a bit to transfer.

Next you will either receive a message that your transfer was successful, or you’ll receive an error message.
